Prescription for Wellbeing Initiative funded by East Lancashire CCG. 

​In the summer of 2019 we were awarded small grants from both Hyndburn & Ribble Valley CVS and Burnley Pendle & Rossendale CVS towards providing our service. 

In January 2019 we were voted number one in Tesco stores in Hyndburn and awarded a grant to provide therapy.

Current Funding:

We accept referrals from Action for ASD’s Adult Autism Diagnostic Service for recently diagnosed adults who live in East Lancashire and Blackburn with Darwen.

In April 2019 we were awarded a grant form the National Lottery Awards for All scheme towards the cost of administration and management.

Community Foundation For Lancashire manage grants on behalf of a number of organisations.

  • ​In June 2018 we were awarded a grant from the Community Foundation Well-being Fund to provide therapy for the over 60's age group.
  • In September 2018 we were awarded an unrestricted grant from the Royal London Foundation
  • In March 2019 we were awarded a grant from WO Street Transformation Fund to provide therapy.
  • In April 2019 we were awarded a small grant from the Blurred Line Foundation to provide therapy to young people and their families from the Ribble Valley
The services offered by Understanding Autism North West are free of charge to all clients. We are constantly seeking funding to maintain and develop our services. Funding comes from a variety of sources, from statutory bodies, trusts & foundations and from donations.
